What type of vehicles do we accept?
At Cars for Scrap we mainly accept cars and vans however if you have a special request then please feel free to talk to us.

What areas do we cover?
We are based in Sydney and mainly operate within the Sydney metropolitan area. However we can pickup vehicles in most suburbs. If you are interested in scrapping your car then please fill out one of our online form and we will call you to discuss whether a pickup in your location is possible.

What documents are needed?
You will need to provide registration papers or a purchase receipt as proof of ownership of the vehicle & your drivers licences or other forms of personal identification.

What happens to my number plates?
You will need to remove your number plates & return them to your local RTA

Does it cost anything to remove my car?
No - all unwanted cars are removed for FREE. On top of that, we will also pay you cash for every car depending on its condition!

how it all happens

We wanted to take a moment to explain the vehicle collection process so that you can see just how easy and hassle free it is.

To start the process you will need to give us a call on 9592 5656 or simply fill in our online scrap enquiry form. This is a quick and easy process where you are required to fill in your vehicle and personal details. Its important that you give us as much information as possible with regards to any damage the car has suffered or the type of condition the car might be in.

Once you have filled out and submitted the form one of our representatives will give you a call. They will verify your submitted details and will discuss price, collection arrangements and organise a date & time for collection. Depending on the area of where the vehicle might be kept we usually carry out collection within 24 to 48 hours.

Once this is complete one of our collection personnel will come to collect the vehicle on the agreed day, at the agreed time.

When he arrives he will check the vehicle over to make sure it is as described. At this point you should hand him your registration or proof of purchase and also your drivers licences or proof of identity. All the necessary paper work will be signed by both parties and once this is complete he will take away your vehicle. This is essentially the end of the vehicle collection process.
